Join us for a very special getaway designed to strengthen you from the inside out. The Big Broad Energy Women’s Retreat brings women together in stunning Placencia, Belize for movement, adventure, deep connection, and good old-fashioned fun.

​This trip is for women who want to feel powerful, supported, and fully alive—while soaking up tropical sunshine and trying new things with a crew of likeminded people.
CLASSES & COACHING

​Most days include one morning class and one afternoon or evening session, mixing:
  • Strength & mobility classes
  • Mindset and personal development workshops
  • Coaching Q&As with Tara
  • Community circles to connect, reflect, and laugh
These sessions are empowering but never intimidating—come exactly as you are and grow at your own pace. You’ll learn, move, and tap into a stronger version of yourself while building real friendships inspired by Coach Tara's BROADS training program and community.

Activities & Flow

Every day brings a new way to explore, stretch your comfort zone, and simply enjoy being you. In addition to your workouts and workshops, you will have the opportunity to get to know Belize by land and sea with a variety of exciting activities.

Adventure Day:
Explore the lush Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary and hike to either the Tiger Fern or Ben’s Bluff waterfall for a refreshing swim!

Cultural Immersion Day:
Cook alongside a local chef and dive into the flavors, sounds, dances, and traditions of the Garifuna culture.

Celebration on the Water:
Spend the day sailing on a catamaran, snorkeling turquoise waters, and celebrating everything you’ve accomplished so far.

Freedom Day:
Rest, explore Placencia Village, hit the spa, lounge on the beach, or do absolutely nothing. This is your day to choose what you need most!

$4250 Double occupancy (price per person) in shared 2-bedroom Spa Villa
$5495 Single occupancy in Private Studio Beach House

  • This retreat is for women only.
  • Final balance is due 90 days before the retreat starts. If you sign up within 90 days of the retreat, you must pay in full. 
  • By signing up, you agree to our Terms & Conditions. 
  • Solo traveler looking to share a room? Ketanga will help connect solo travelers first-come, first-served. If no roommate is available, guest must pay single room rate.
  • Check-in time is 3PM, check-out time is 12PM.

Meet Coach Tara LaFerrara

Founder of Broads, lifelong athlete and personal trainer, Tara started Broads with the goal of helping more women get stronger. As NASM certified personal trainer, Tara has spent the last 12 years educating herself and supporting clients in achieving their goals. She has co-owned a gym, trained clients virtually and now developed Broads to expand her reach globally. What does she love? Strength training, mobility, yoga, olympic lifting and helping you become the best version of yourself.

Meet Assistant Coach Taylor
A certified personal trainer and online coach based in Philadelphia, specializing in strength and conditioning, kettlebells, nutrition, and pre- & postnatal fitness, Taylor loves being part of the Broads team. She’s your ultimate hype girl, support system, educator, and friend, helping you cut through the noise in the health and fitness industry and come up with an effective and sustainable plan that works for you—for life.

Accommodations & Location

Your home for the week is the Naia Resort & Spa on the Placencia Peninsula of Belize. Naia sits on nearly a mile of pristine, palm-lined beach within a private coastal enclave. You’ll stay in beautiful, standalone beach houses and villas designed with a cozy, residential feel—your personal sanctuary just steps from the sand.

The resort includes amenities like an island-style spa set over a freshwater lagoon, a fitness center and yoga/movement studio overlooking the water, two onsite restaurants, complimentary kayaks, paddleboards, and a saltwater pool.

To get to the resort, you’ll take a quick domestic flight from Belize City (BZE) or drive about three hours along the scenic coastline. Once you land at the Placencia airstrip (PLJ), roundtrip transportation to the resort is included.

  • 5 minutes from Maya Beach
  • 15 minutes from Placencia Village
  • Complimentary shuttles make it easy to explore
