Enjoy the sun, sand, fitness, and fun on this 6-day Costa Rican getaway! We'll work out our bodies and minds as we try exciting activities like zip lining and surfing, taste local cuisine, relax on a sunset cruise, and work out with Coaches Beth Roberts and Tiffany Sanborn! Join us for the right balance of fitness, adventure and relaxation!
Each day of the retreat will combine boot camp-style workouts led by Coach Beth Roberts and power yoga flows led by Coach Tiffany Sanborn. The daily classes are meant to challenge and motivate you, while being accessible to all fitness levels. Beth's boot camp classes utilize the natural environment as the gym, focusing on variety infusing fun into the workout. Tiffany follows the Baptiste Power Yoga style which focuses on strength, flexibility and breath work.
In addition to our daily workouts and yoga classes, we'll enjoy a variety of exciting activities! We'll explore Costa Rica from the treetops on an adrenaline-filled zip lining canopy tour on one day, and then we'll have a choice of an all-levels surf lesson or relaxing massage on another day. Towards the end of the trip, we'll go on an afternoon/sunset catamaran sailing cruise where we have the choice of relaxing on board with open bar or snorkeling in the ocean and watching for whales and dolphins.
In between activities and workouts will be plenty of free time to relax, reflect, or sign up for additional activities or excursions. Our resort is right on the beach and has beautiful pools so free time is yours to cherish! Plus, when you walk out of the hotel you're in the middle of a small town with lots of shops and restaurants to explore.
Beth Roberts is a fitness trainer and nutrition/lifestyle coach with over 20 years of experience. Beth has taught many styles of fitness and levels of clients over her career as a private coach and group exercise instructor.
Her passion for Boot Camp style interval training drove her to establish Killington Boot Camp where she keeps fitness fun with a variety of indoor and outdoor workouts.
Tiffany Sanborn had been a yogi enthusiast for about 6 years before walking to her first Baptiste Power Yoga class and having it completely change her life! Having falling in love with all aspects of Baptiste Power Yoga methodology, she has since done her 200hr YTT with two of Baptiste’s senior teachers, Claire Este-Mcdonald and Gregor Singleton (2012). She has also done many of the Baptiste Power yoga courses and complete two intensives of theirs: Level 1 and Level 2. Her hope is to finish with Level 3 by next year.
Tiffany’s sequencing and style are completely influenced by Baptiste Yoga and follow a dynamic and powerful balance of strength and flexibility. She believes breath is where it all starts and happens. The breath is what gives you strength in the challenging times and poses, but it also helps to cultivate emotional balance in clarity. Teaching her students how to truly breathe and use it to strengthen their bodies and minds is what lights her up.
Tiffany’s mission is for you to leave her class completely rung out, clear headed and with a smile on your face!
Tuesday, March 17:
Welcome to Costa Rica! Guests will arrive at the Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) airport and take a provided shuttle to our resort, the Tamarindo Diria. We'll check in and then meet for introductions and a welcome stretch at sunset. Tonight's included dinner will be at a delicious restaurant in town!
Wednesday, March 18:
This morning we will kick off our Beach Boot Camp routine followed by a nourishing breakfast overlooking the ocean waves. Then we'll depart for a zip lining adventure through tree canopies (GoPros welcome!). After a free afternoon, we'll meet for an afternoon yoga class and continue into a free night!
Thursday, March 19:
Beach Boot Camp + breakfast. Today is a FREE day to explore the surrounding town of Tamarindo, go on an adventure to another beach, or sign up for an additional activity like horseback riding. In the afternoon, we'll come together for a yoga class with a restorative stretch and a free night to try another delicious local restaurant or check out the excitement at the Thursday Night Market.
Friday, March 20:
Beach Boot Camp + breakfast. Then we'll have some free time before heading down the beach for a surf lesson (surfing is optional, the other choice is to sign up for a massage at your leisure throughout the retreat)! All levels are welcome and encouraged to join the fun and ride the waves! The afternoon is free until we come together for a restorative yoga class and then have a free night with an option to go salsa dancing!
Saturday, March 21:
Beach Boot Camp + breakfast. We've got a few hours to relax or visit the local farmer's market and then we'll head down the beach to meet our catamaran for an afternoon sail! We'll ride out into the ocean, hopefully catching a glimpse of some whales or dolphins, and then we'll have time to jump in the water for snorkeling and swimming. We'll have lunch provided on the boat + open bar, and we will come back as the sun sets for a perfect view of the magic! No workout tonight, and dinner will be included at a delicious restaurant.
Sunday, March 22:
On our final morning, we'll enjoy a beach yoga class followed by breakfast overlooking the ocean. Then we'll have some time to pack up, walk the beach one more time, or buy some last-minute souvenirs before departing for the airport with a healthy glow and a big smile!
