I have bright green eyes, my all-time favorite color is green, and I’d like to think that I’m pretty environmentally friendly. Yet for some reason, I’ve been super reluctant to hop on the green train sweeping the nation that is matcha. For those of you like me who didn’t know what matcha was until literally yesterday, my understanding is that it’s essentially green tea in powder form – weird, right? I’m definitely not a tea drinker, but I was more than fine with trying the next most popular matcha phenomenon… froyo.
If you’re anything like me, your mind is always running a thousand miles a minute and you often find yourself telling your brain to STFU. I mean, I’m lucky if I get a break from myself for just a few minutes every day. So imagine my reaction when I showed up to a meditation studio and was told that for 45 minutes it was just me and my thoughts. And more specifically, me and my thoughts of nothingness. As I got older, my long limbs became more like wet noodles, and I somehow lost all sense of coordination and my graceful dancing abilities. Even so, I was still super excited to try out 305, a Miami-inspired dance class that all my friends have been RAVING about it. Read more to find out if I'm as good at twerking as I was at sashaying.
