Fitness, Food & Fun: Mallorca
Explore our very favorite part of Spain that many people overlook! Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic islands located next to Ibiza and Menorca, and it is known for pristine beaches, delicious flavored salt and triathlon training! On the Fitness, Food & Fun retreat, we will experience Mallorca from an active and culinary perspective, with Coach Alyssa Gagarin leading daily workouts and cooking classes, activities like biking and wine tasting, and time to relax at the resort - by far the most unique hotel we've ever stayed at!
Each morning Coach Alyssa will lead a bodyweight HIIT-style workout (high-intensity interval training) to get us moving! The classes will be a combination of strength training and cardio intervals that you can take at your own pace. On select days, we will have a second class which will be more restorative or strength-focused, such as a core class.
Our culinary adventure will surprise you with how easy it can be to cook delicious, quick, and healthy meals. Alyssa will lead us in food-focused activities like a hands-on cooking class, themed workshop or a meal prep demo.
Outside of the kitchen, we will explore Mallorca by bike to see the countryside and sparkling beaches. Plus, we'll stop by Flor de Sal d'Es Trenc to see how Mallorca's famous salt is made. We will also take another exciting adventure, either wine tasting in the country or sailing on a catamaran cruise (TBD!).
Each day will balance activities with free time to relax, reflect, or go exploring. Our resort is a short bike or taxi ride to the beach or towns of Campos and Santanyí for shopping and dining, and there are also two swimming pools and plenty of space to lay out and relax right at the hotel. Free time is yours!
Alyssa, a private chef, certified personal trainer, & fitness instructor in NYC, is passionate about spreading the empowering feeling of living an active, healthy lifestyle!
In the kitchen, she creates light, fresh & healthy cuisine for her clients and is an advocate for consuming real, whole, unprocessed foods. She is Nutritious Life certified through Keri Glassman's The Nutrition School and is a self taught, home cook. She adores working with children, as young as toddlers, teaching them knife skills and about eating seasonally during her kid’s cooking classes at Freshmade NYC.
In the gym, she works one on one with clients, specializing in strength training and mobility, helping people to move better and get stronger. Her enthusiasm and motivation is evident during her group fitness classes at City Row, using the very effective and safe indoor water rower for an endurance cardio workout. Alyssa has combined her many interests to create her own healthy cooking show! Her cooking show is her ultimate passion project, as she shows people how living a healthy life can be simple and fulfilling.
