Holbert's Garage Retreat

Join Coaches Katie and Sara of Holbert's Garage Fitness on a four-day adventure to Lake Tahoe! Holbert's Garage all about getting your body moving, feeling the beat, and having fun. The more fun you have, the more motivated you will be. And this retreat is ALL about having fun in a new and beautiful environment with amazing, like-minded people. Come for the fun and enjoy the fitness, camaraderie, dining, and relaxation!

Fitness:
This all-levels fitness retreat will include a variety of classes ranging from HIIT to strength training to yoga. Regardless of your level or experience, you will learn something new and challenge your body in safe ways while enjoying a supportive and encouraging environment.

Adventure:
Throughout the retreat, you'll have the opportunity to explore summer in a ski town which means lots of hiking! We'll go on two exciting treks as a group, and you can explore more during free time. You'll also go on a kayaking or paddle boarding excursion on crystal clear Lake Tahoe and a horseback riding excursion!

Relaxation:
Each day will balance both activities with free time to relax, reflect, or explore on your own or with the group. Our hotel is right on the beach, so lake time is always an option! And on the final night, we'll take a sunset yacht cruise together before enjoying a delicious dinner.

  • $2750 Double occupancy (price per person)

  • Secure your spot with a nonrefundable $500 deposit.
  • The balance is due at least 90 days prior to the retreat. If you sign up within 90 days of the retreat, you must pay in full.
  • Airfare and local transportation not included.
  • Upgrades to lakeview and lakefront rooms available upon request.

Meet Your Coaches

Katie Holbert

Fitness should be fun. My entire life, I have tried to make it fun by dancing, smiling, and making people laugh! I loved sports and being active growing up, but my real love for the science behind movement and nutrition didn't come until after my first daughter was born.  

I'm a wife, mother of two amazing girls, animal lover, and entrepreneur! I work well under pressure or chaos, ha whatever you want to call it! I love to travel, eat great food, motivate others, spend time with family and friends and adventures!

As a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor for 10 years through IFA, I worked in a gym for seven years, and I had an opportunity to take my business online and to my garage. Holbert's Garage Fitness has been an absolute dream come true! I run three online programs and have a full roster of personal training clients. I am so excited to have added retreats to my portfolio, and Lake Tahoe will be #3!

Hi, my name is Sara. I am a wife & mother of two. My husband and I own a small business and have for several years. I love what I do, but health and fitness are my passions! I would say this started for me in the 10th grade of high school when I chose weight lifting class over normal gym time. 

My fitness journey continued over the years trying all the things… aerobics classes, cycling, Zumba, weight training, running, boxing, barre, Pilates and of course yoga. I tried hot yoga for the first time after having my first child (about 13 years ago) and I fell in love! Yoga has been a constant in my life and gives the balance in my mind and body that I crave.

I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training about a year and a half ago and I’ve been working with Catherine at Holbert’s Garage Fitness ever since. I love to push myself and others in HIIT and strength training workouts, and yoga is the perfect amount of balance after these challenging days! I love seeing how others and myself grow throughout practicing yoga. The growth can be small at times but so rewarding!

​We held our first yoga and fitness retreat together last year, and I am looking forward to many more!

The Accommodations

Explore the beautiful south shores of Lake Tahoe nestled in the alpine setting with a panoramic view at the Tahoe Beach Retreat & Lodge in South Lake Tahoe. Here, you can relax in our comfortable beachfront hotel surrounded by calm blue waters and picturesque views all around. You can lounge on the beach, cruise the lake, and savor various delicacies.

Cool off in the outdoor pool with a mountain view and gentle breeze, tickle your adventure bone by renting a kayak or enjoying the speed on a jet ski at the marina, or spend some quality time with the group boating and fishing during free time. The hotel is located a short distance from Heavenly Village for shopping and gondola rides for hiking adventures. 

Guests rooms will be garden facing, but upgrades to lakeview and lakefront rooms are available upon request.

Itinerary

Thursday, July 25:
Welcome to Lake Tahoe! Upon arrivals to the Tahoe Beach Retreat hotel, you'll check in and meet the group for introductions and a welcome combo class on the beach with Katie and Sara. Continue getting to know one another at a group dinner (included) and then walk over to a summer concert series for live music overlooking the lake.

Friday, July 26: 
A morning yoga class and breakfast will prep your body for today's adventure: an invigorating hike! You'll explore some nearby mountains for a moderately challenging trek with incredible views along the way. Afterwards, you're free to grab lunch in town and explore the area. The group will reconvene for an evening workout and a free night out or relaxing night in.

Saturday, July 27: 
A motivating workout will jumpstart the day, followed by a nourishing breakfast. Then we'll head to a nearby farm for horseback riding through the forest with incredible lake views! After some free time and lunch at your leisure, cool off at a special kayaking or paddle boarding adventure on crystal clear Lake Tahoe! Sunset yoga class and free night.

Sunday, July 28: 
Today will kick off with a lakefront fitness and yoga combo class and breakfast, and then depart for another invigorating hike. Then, the rest of the day is yours! With so many water activities, beaches and spas in the area, there is truly something for everyone! In the early evening, the group will depart for a sunset cruise on the lake, enjoying some light bites before visiting a local restaurant for a final delicious meal together (included).

Monday, July 29: 
On the last morning of the retreat, depending on guests' departure times, you'll have a final workout and group breakfast. Return home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!
