Together, we’ll energize our bodies with bodyweight strength training, restore balance with stretching sessions, and take adventure to new heights with thrilling zip lining and a sunset sail along Costa Rica’s coastline. In between, you’ll enjoy fresh local cuisine, downtime in nature, and the unbeatable camaraderie of a Ketanga retreat.

Whether you’re a returning traveler or joining for the first time, this retreat is your chance to celebrate our most experienced group leader's incredible journey — and ignite your own.

Fitness

Coach Beth will lead an energizing mix of fitness and mobility classes designed to spark strength, endurance, and recovery. From strength and conditioning sessions on the beach to restorative stretching and Block Therapy in tranquil garden and poolside spaces, each workout is set against the stunning backdrops of Costa Rica.

​Mornings begin with invigorating classes to ignite your energy, while afternoons wind down with restorative movement to leave you refreshed and ready for another day of adventure. With thoughtful modifications and coaching, every session is accessible yet challenging for all fitness levels.

Adventure

Adventure is at the heart of Ignite Costa Rica. Together, we’ll spark adrenaline with two unforgettable excursions: first, an exhilarating zip line journey through the lush rainforest canopy, and then a breathtaking sunset sail on a catamaran complete with snorkeling, swimming, and an open bar.

​These included adventures set the tone, but your journey doesn’t stop there — during free time, you’ll have the chance to fuel your spirit with optional add-ons like surfing the waves or horseback riding along the shore.

Relaxation

Igniting your energy also means knowing when to recharge. Between workouts and adventures, you’ll have space to unwind and soak up Costa Rica’s natural beauty. Lounge by the pool, sink into the sand with a book, or treat yourself to a rejuvenating spa treatment.

Whether it’s restorative stretching in the afternoon or a quiet moment watching the sunset, this retreat balances fire with flow — leaving you both energized and restored.

  • $2595 Oceanfront double occupancy (price per person)
  • $3295 Oceanfront single occupancy

Notes:​
  • Secure your spot with a nonrefundable $500 deposit per person.
  • Save an extra $100 by paying your balance by Zelle or check!
  • Payment will be requested in 2 installments after the initial deposit and you can make additional payments any time until final payment is due, 60 days prior to the start of the retreat (December 21, 2025).

  • Guests requesting a roommate will be assigned on a first come, first served basis, pending availability.
  • Airfare to/from Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) not included.

Meet Coach Beth

Beth Roberts is a fitness trainer and nutrition/lifestyle coach with over 25 years of experience. Beth has taught many styles of fitness and levels of clients over her career as a private coach and group exercise instructor. Her passion for boot camp-style interval training drove her to establish Killington Boot Camp in Killington, Vermont, where she keeps fitness fun with a variety of indoor and outdoor workouts. On wellness retreats, Beth mixes up the styles of fitness she teaches to accommodate the day's other activities as well as guests' different levels and abilities . Classes vary from total body interval style training to restorative stretching and myofascial release.

After hosting her first retreat with Ketanga in Tulum, Mexico, Beth has caught the fitness travel bug and has become one of Ketanga's most popular retreat leaders with trips in Costa Rica, Kauai, Barbados, Croatia, Portugal, Mallorca, and more!

The Accommodations

Our home for the retreat is the iconic Tamarindo Diria resort, located in the heart of Tamarindo, a coastal town known for surfing, sunsets, and low-key beach vibes. The stunning property has a boutique-y vibe with lush grounds, 4-star accommodations, and a friendly, welcoming staff. There are three pools, including two with swim-up bars, a tennis court, and massage services. Plus, being right on the beach means you'll waste no time between a fresh and delicious breakfast and soaking up the morning sunshine. The best part? While the property is relaxing and peaceful, you are steps away from a safe local town with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to explore - the perfect vacation balance with something for everyone!

Arrive at the Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) airport and take a provided shuttle to our resort
