Restore your mind, body and spirit in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on the Namaste Vacay! Over one meaningful week, you'll be surrounded by picturesque landscapes, motivating Coaches, fun people, and the five healing elements of earth, water, fire, air, and ether. This all-levels retreat will combine physical fitness and activities with a touch of introspective meditation and plenty of relaxing leisure time for the perfect vacation balance. Join us, and our two incredible group leaders, to feel empowered, strong and motivated on this trip of a lifetime!
This retreat is hosted by two incredible Coaches who will bring a blend of energizing Vinyasa flow yoga, uplifting Pilates, invigorating interval training (HIIT), and nurturing meditation. Each day will kick off with an optional morning meditation to early risers and will continue with two classes, one in the morning after meditation and one in the early evening around sunset.
Coach Cathy will lead the yoga flows, focusing on a different chakra each day, and the mat Pilates classes that will chisel your core, massage your spine, and increase stamina, strength, stability and flexibility. Coach Lauren will kick things into high gear with interval training for all levels. This full body workout will fuse bursts of cardio and strength training that will leave you breathless and empowered.
In addition to our group fitness sessions, the retreat will offer two wellness workshops: Happiness and Arm Balances. These are optional but encouraged for all guests to connect the body, mind and spirit. We will also share two adventurous excursions as a group that are included in the program. One will explore Puerto Vallarta's beautiful culture by visiting local villages. We'll also go chasing waterfalls, where we will swim and enjoy a healthy lunch. On our second excursion, we'll partake in an authentic temazcal ceremony with a local shaman. This sacred ancient ritual is believed to purify the mind and body while healing some ailments.
Our commitment to relaxation is just as important as our classes and activities. Our beachfront property is equipped with a pool and lounge area, perfect for cooling off or relaxing. If you're craving a spa day, you're in luck. Our property has a soothing spa where you can pamper yourself while overlooking the ocean. (Spa services will be provided for an additional fee).
Cathy Trenary caught the yoga bug in her teen years and completed her first teacher training at a Baptiste affiliate studio in 2014.
Prior to that, she received her 600 hour comprehensive Pilates certification so you can expect core work infused in the practice. Most recently Cathy completed her 300 hour in Ayurveda and loves to invite in the 5 elements and incorporate yoga philosophy throughout her classes. She offers various modifications and applications.
You can expect a lot of cuing on breath (as she believes this is the foundation of the practice), alignment, and hands-on assists. Apart from yoga, Cathy holds an M.ED in Counseling and Development from George Mason University and has experience working as a Mental Health Counselor and as a Stress-Management Professor at George Washington University.

Lauren Martinez found her love of fitness in 2010 when she began traveling the country for new experiences. With each move she found herself lit up by others who shared her same affinity of taking care of themselves through movement. After experiencing the life-changing effects that fitness and community brought into her own life, she knew she needed to share that with others. Staying true to her belief that fitness is more than just a workout, it’s work in, she became a certified group fitness coach.
While she is known for her mindful approach to fitness, don’t be fooled by her sweet voice and big smile, she will be your best hype woman and push you past your limits with encouraging words and energizing HIIT workouts.
When she isn’t sweating in the gym or working on her health coaching practice, you can find her in the kitchen trying new recipes, digging for new music, eating sun butter right out of the jar, buying another plant she doesn’t need or reaching her iPhone storage limit by saving another cat meme. Welcome to Mexico! Guests will arrive no later than 4PM in Puerto Vallarta and will be transported to Xinalani to check in and get settled. We'll meet for introductions and a welcome ceremony with meditation and journaling. We'll continue getting to know one another at dinner.
Sunday, May 10
Wake to an optional morning meditation followed by our first yoga class and breakfast. Then we will on an exciting cultural adventure. We'll head to the peaceful and isolated cove of Majahuitas for swimming and snorkeling. After a sightseeing boat ride, we’ll visit the charming Yelapa, a traditional fishing village nestled in a stunning bay. We will hike through town to the waterfalls go for a swim! Back on the beach, we’ll have time for a delicious lunch at a restaurant. Back at the hotel, we'll have a late afternoon workout, 50/50 Pilates and HIIT, and we'll end the day with group dinner on the beach to celebrate Cathy's birthday!
Monday, May 11
This morning we'll wake up for meditation and a class with half Pilates and half HIIT to kick off the day strong. After breakfast, the day is free! Relax at the beach or enjoy the pool as the day is yours. Today is also the perfect time to check out an extra excursion you may be thinking about! In the afternoon we'll come together for a sunset yoga class and dinner. Tonight we'll enjoy live entertainment at the hotel like salsa dancing or a musical performance!
Tuesday, May 12
We're just over the halfway mark of the retreat! Today we'll have our morning meditation and yoga, and then ease into a Happiness Workshop after breakfast. Then with happiness on the mind, we'll have a free day to enjoy some down time or indulge in a spa treatment. In the afternoon we will have a Pilates and HIIT class followed by group dinner.
Wednesday, May 13
Today we will have a morning meditation and Pilates + HIIT class and breakfast, and then some free time to relax and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the temazcal sweat lodge and have a special ancient ceremony with a local shaman. Temazcal means “house of heat” in the Aztec language Nahuatl. With indigenous origins in ancient Mexico, a Temazcal is a sweat lodge that was once used by healers to cure the sick and to prepare warriors for battle. We will experience this prehistoric tradition with a shaman who will guide you through an ancient ceremony to invoke the four elements, purifying your being at all levels. Afterwards, we will come together for sunset yoga and dinner.
Thursday, May 14
On our final full day together, we will wake up to a meditation and yoga class and breakfast. We'll enjoy a free day to soak up some last rays of sun and maybe treat ourselves to a massage on the beach. After lunch we'll have some more free time to relax and an optional arm balance workshop. Then we will come together for our second class, a Pilates + HIIT session, before our final dinner. After dinner, we will enjoy a bonfire to celebrate the retreat and how much we have learned and grown.
Friday, May 15
This morning will kick off with a meditation and final yoga class to get our minds bodies and minds ready for the travel day ahead and the transition back home. We will review the intentions we set on the first day and carry them forward as we go home. We'll have breakfast, pack up and say our goodbyes! Guests may book flights that depart at or after 11AM in order to take part in complimentary group transportation.
