Lake Life & Hiking Retreat

Get ready for the ultimate summer getaway at Lake Tahoe in July 2025! Our Lake Life & Hiking Retreat is all about combining adventure with relaxation. Think energizing workouts, scenic hikes and chill moments by the lake. Join us for an unforgettable escape where you can refresh your mind, body, and soul amid stunning Sierra Nevada views. 

Fitness:
This all-levels retreat will include a variety of classes ranging from bodyweight strength training to mindful stretching. Regardless of your experience, you will learn something new and challenge your body in safe ways while enjoying a supportive and encouraging environment.

Adventure:
During the retreat, you'll enjoy a summer adventure in a picturesque ski town, filled with invigorating hiking opportunities! We’ll embark on two thrilling group treks, and you’ll have plenty of time to explore on your own. Plus, you’ll enjoy a kayaking or paddleboarding excursion on the pristine waters of Lake Tahoe and experience breathtaking views from the renowned Heavenly Gondola.

Relaxation:
With "Lake Life" as part of the name, this retreat is designed to blend relaxation with our action-packed schedule. Nestled right on the beach, the hotel offers the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. You'll have ample opportunity to enjoy the serene lakefront setting and fully embrace the tranquility between our exciting activities.

  • $2500 Double occupancy (price per person)
  • $3115 Single occupancy

  • Secure your spot with a nonrefundable $500 deposit.
  • The balance is due 90 days prior to the retreat. If you sign up within 90 days of the retreat, you must pay in full at time of registration.
  • Airfare not included.
  • Upgrades to lakefview rooms may be available upon request.

Meet Your Coach

Beth Roberts is a fitness trainer and nutrition/lifestyle coach with over 20 years of experience. Beth has taught many styles of fitness and levels of clients over her career as a private coach and group exercise instructor. Her passion for Boot Camp style interval training drove her to establish Killington Boot Camp in Killington, Vermont, where she keeps fitness fun with a variety of indoor and outdoor workouts.

After hosting her first retreat with Ketanga in Tulum, Mexico, Beth has caught the fitness travel bug and has become one of Ketanga's most popular retreat leaders with trips in Costa Rica, Barbados, Cape Cod, Mallorca, and more!

The Accommodations

Explore the beautiful south shores of Lake Tahoe nestled in the alpine setting with a panoramic view at the Tahoe Beach Retreat & Lodge in South Lake Tahoe. Here, you can relax in our comfortable beachfront hotel surrounded by calm blue waters and picturesque views all around. You can lounge on the beach, cruise the lake, and savor various delicacies.

Cool off in the outdoor pool with a mountain view and gentle breeze, tickle your adventure bone by renting a kayak or enjoying the speed on a jet ski at the marina, or spend some quality time with the group boating and fishing during free time. The hotel is located a short distance from Heavenly Village for shopping and gondola rides for hiking adventures. 

Guests rooms will be garden facing, but upgrades to lakeview and lakefront rooms are available upon request.

Itinerary

July 9:
Welcome to Lake Tahoe! Upon arrivals to the Tahoe Beach Retreat hotel, you'll check in and meet the group for introductions and a welcome happy hour. Continue getting to know one another at a group dinner (included) overlooking the lake.

July 10: 
A morning class and breakfast will prep your body for today's adventure: an invigorating hike! We'll take a 2.4 mile ride up in the Heavenly Mountain Gondola with breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and then find a trail at the top. Afterwards, if you're in the mood for adventure, you can sign up for the zipline or mountain coaster! Or, return to the base and check out the town. Optional sunset stretch class back at the hotel and then a free night to try a local restaurant.

July 11: 
A motivating workout will jumpstart the day, followed by a nourishing breakfast. After some free time and lunch at your leisure, cool off at a low-key kayaking or paddle boarding adventure on crystal clear Lake Tahoe! We'll pick up our kayaks and boards right next to the hotel and enjoy relaxing time on the water. Optional afternoon stretch class. Free night.

July 12: 
Today will kick off with a lakefront fitness class and breakfast, and then depart for another invigorating hike. We'll explore some nearby mountains for a moderately challenging trek with incredible views along the way. Afterwards, you're free to grab lunch in town and explore the area. Then, the rest of the day is yours! In the early evening, the group will visit a locally-owned brewery and restaurant for an optional local beer tasting and a final delicious meal together (included).

July 13: 
On the last morning of the retreat, depending on guests' departure times, you'll have a final workout and group breakfast. Return home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!
