The fitness & adventure: Each day in the Amazon will be active, whether hiking, rafting, or other adventures. And in true Ketanga style, Coach Ros will also be leading daily workouts to complement the day's activities. Her workouts may include a variety of stretching techniques, core work, and cardio and strength intervals. The retreat: You will have a unique opportunity to be up close and personal with Peru's magical rainforest, spending your days exploring with a guide. As a group, we'll check out waterfalls, huge trees, jungle streams, and scout out amazing and unique animals. We will hike, raft, swim, and be immersed in nature. In our down time, we will relax at the open and peaceful lodge where a private chef will prepare all of our meals. A few things to note: All rooms are double occupancy; however, if you have a special need please send us an email and we will do our best to accommodate! There will also be very little cell service/wifi once we are in the rainforest, and limited charging capabilities. Once you sign up, we will provide a full packing list so you know everything you need to bring. |
Coach Ros Pressman (co-founder of Ketanga Fitness Retreats!) is a Brooklynite who spends a lot of her free time in the fitness world. She has been teaching boot camp and spin classes throughout NYC for over six years, and when she's working out on her own, you can find her at the gym coming up with fun and challenging workouts infusing cardio and strength.
Ros has also danced and played sports her whole life, trained for a number of running/obstacle course races (like the Spartan Race and Urbanathalon) and is constantly trying different kinds of workouts and exercises to keep her motivated. When she's on vacation, she loves to go out to eat (particularly to try the local desserts!), so to balance out the vacation indulgences, she makes a point to hike, run, drop into classes at local gyms, and explore. She loves that Ketanga allows her to help others stay active and healthy when traveling, while still indulging a little, having fun, and relaxing. |
