Explore all that the Rocky Mountains have to offer with an outdoor adventure & fitness retreat in one of our country's most scenic states, Colorado! With a combination of mobility sessions, HIIT training, flexibility through yoga, and pushing your comfort level with rock climbing, you will feel stronger than ever - mentally and physically - after a few days!
The fitness: This fitness on this retreat will be a balance of mobility work, yoga, and high intensity interval training. The higher intensity workouts will be a mix of body weight calisthenics and plyometrics, some sprinting, and some strength training, while the the mobility component - often ignored and extremely important - will teach you how to properly prep and recover your body to perform at its peak without as high a risk of injury. This will include stretching, rolling, yoga, and other techniques that will feel amazing! The retreat: We'll be staying at a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Denver, with access to the city's culture, restaurants, and nightlife. But most of our activities will take us outside of the city for rock climbing, hiking, and special workouts in beautiful locations like the Red Rocks Amphitheater! Plus, we'll have plenty of time to relax, check out some local craft breweries that the town (and state) is known for. |

Retreat itineraryDay 1 - Friday, August 31
Welcome to Colorado! We'll kick off the retreat with a casual orientation and our first group fitness class to wake up our bodies after traveling all day! In the evening, we'll start to explore the city of Denver and get to know each other at a group dinner at a local restaurant. If anyone's up for it, we'll grab a local craft beer and listen to some live music before heading to bed. Day 2 - Saturday, September 1 After a restful night, we will wake up invigorated and excited to explore the great outdoors! Our morning will kick off with a workout at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater, where concerts and fitness events are prevalent, and then we'll grab lunch in the town of Golden and take some time to check out the area. In the afternoon, we'll enjoy a beautiful hike, stopping for some mobility stretches and yoga along the way, and then we'll have some free time to walk around and explore. The evening is reserved for enjoying dinner with the group in different part of the city. Day 3 - Sunday, September 2 Wake up to fresh air and excitement as it is a bucket list kind of day! We're going on a rock climbing expedition - perfect for all levels! The outing will start with safety information and a lesson and then we'll spend time practicing our climbing skills with certified guides - while taking lots of photos, of course! In the afternoon, enjoy some much needed free time to relax a bit or check out another part of the city. We'll regroup in the early evening for a mobility/stretch class focused on the muscles we worked while climbing, and then we'll enjoy dinner as a group and reflect on the retreat that has come and gone too quickly. Perhaps we'll go on an impromptu craft brewery crawl to sip our way through the city in celebration of the weekend! Day 4 - Monday, September 3 On the final morning of the retreat, we will wake up to our last workout. The retreat will be officially over at this point, but depending on flight times, the group may decide to go for a morning hike, sign up for a bike tour of Denver, or just head to the airport. We'll probably want to soak up as much of the fresh air in the Mile High City as possible! *Itinerary subject to change |
