Fitness & Adventure Retreat

Fitness, adventure and relaxation at its finest, this retreat is for anyone who loves to move! With exciting activities like zip lining and catamaran sailing, and daily workouts focusing on functional movement, strength and conditioning, we've planned the ultimate vacation!

Fitness:
Throughout the retreat, Coach Sarah will lead one to two daily workouts with a focus on functional movement, strength and conditioning using primarily your own body weight. Depending on the rest of the day's activities, some workouts will be more restorative or mobility-focused and others will be higher intensity. All levels are welcome and will be accommodated and safely challenged!

Adventure:
There's so much to do in beautiful Costa Rica, and on this retreat, we will be exploring the country by land and by water! We'll go on a thrilling zip lining excursion through the tree canopies with breathtaking scenery. on one day, and on another we will relax with a beautiful sunset catamaran cruise, complete with snorkeling and open bar! These activities are included but totally optional!

Relaxation:
Each day will balance activities with free time to relax, reflect, or go explore on your own or with the group. Our resort is right on the beach and also has a couple of pools (with swim-up bars!) so free time is yours to cherish! Other ideas are to get a massage, sign up for an extra activity like paddle boarding or horseback riding, or exploring the town.

  • $1625 per person in a shared room
  • $1945 single room for one

  • Secure your spot with a nonrefundable $500 deposit per person.
  • The balance must be paid at least 90 days prior to the start of the retreat. If you sign up within 90 days of the retreat, you must pay in full at registration.
  • By signing up, you agree to our Terms & Conditions. 
  • Guests signing up for a shared room without a roommate will be assigned a roommate based on availability with no guarantees.
  • Guests must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.

Meet Coach Sarah Gawron

Sarah is passionate about health and fitness. Her dedication to a healthy lifestyle is rooted in her belief that wellness is beyond physical. In order to achieve optimal wellness, an individual needs to nurture their mind and spirit too. Her personal passion for health translates into helping and coaching those who want a similar lifestyle.  In recent years, she has coached many people through their personal journeys to find healthier and happier lives.

Sarah teaches healthy habits to create a balanced lifestyle in and out of the gym. In order to create these positive rituals, Sarah will help you find your motivation or your “why”. Helping you find your “why” will help you become and stay motivated on your path to wellness. By creating specific and personal goals, Sarah will guide you to tap into your fullest potential.  She encourages those to trust their strength and ability in order to progress.

Sarah focuses on building functional strength from the ground up by creating a strong foundation of movement quality before adding load. She specializes in kettlebell, barbell, and gymnastics strength and conditioning.  Sarah believes everyone has the ability to move well with strength, power, and grace. The Accommodations

Our home for the retreat is the iconic Tamarindo Diria resort, located in the heart of Tamarindo, a coastal town known for surfing, sunsets, and low-key beach vibes. The stunning property has a boutique-y vibe with lush grounds, 4-star accommodations, and a friendly, welcoming staff. There are three pools, including two with swim-up bars, a tennis court, and massage services. Plus, being right on the beach means you'll waste no time between a fresh and delicious breakfast and soaking up the morning sunshine. The best part? While the property is relaxing and peaceful, you are steps away from a safe local town with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to explore - the perfect vacation balance with something for everyone!

Day 1:
Welcome to Costa Rica! Guests will arrive at the Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) airport and take a provided shuttle to our resort, the Tamarindo Diria. We'll check in and then meet for sunset introductions and a welcome stretch and wake up the muscles after a day of travel. Tonight's included dinner will be at a delicious local restaurant in town.

Day 2:
This morning we will kick off our morning workout with a strength class using just your own bodyweight followed by a nourishing breakfast overlooking the ocean waves. After some time to change or walk the beach, we'll depart for a zip lining adventure through tree canopies - the ultimate adventure (and bonding experience)! We'll return for a free afternoon to enjoy some lunch and free time and then come together once again in the late afternoon for a more restorative class with a focus on stretching and mobility. The rest of the evening is free to enjoy the sunset and get some dinner. Suggestion: Visit the Thursday Night Market in town for food, entertainment and fun!


Day 3:
Today, we will work up our breakfast appetite with an optional beach jog followed by a total body interval training class overlooking the ocean. Then we'll have a fresh leisurely breakfast and a free day! Explore the town, soak up the sunshine or take a dip in the pool. In the afternoon we'll have a second workout and free night for dinner and optional salsa dancing!

Day 4:
Kick off the morning with an invigorating strength and conditioning class and delicious breakfast. Then we'll have another free day, perfect for signing up for any extra excursions or pampering with a massage! In the afternoon we'll come together for a second class and then head to dinner as a group at one of the best sunset-viewing restaurants in town.

Day 5:
This morning, we'll jump right into a high-intensity workout to jumpstart the day! We'll have breakfast and then a few hours to relax before heading down the beach to hop on a catamaran for our adventure day in the ocean! We'll ride out into the Pacific, hopefully catching a glimpse of some whales or dolphins, and then we'll have time to jump in the water for snorkeling and swimming - and maybe an impromptu flow on the deck of the boat! We'll have lunch provided on the excursion + open bar, and we will come back as the sun sets for a perfect view of the magic!

Day 6:
​
Our final day will kick off with an early morning fitness class, some final remarks and nourishing breakfast. Then we will have time to take one last dip in the ocean, walk on the beach or stroll through town before departing for the airport with a healthy glow and a big smile!
