Girls' Fitness & Adventure TripI'm Layne of Wellthy Soul, and I am so excited to host my third annual active vacation in Costa Rica focused on mind, body and soul! Join me, and special guest Aurora Jones, for a week of wellness and fun with a group of strong women like you. Together, we'll experience the local flavor and culture, challenge our bodies in new ways and spend time relaxing in the gorgeous surroundings!
Fitness Layne and Aurora will lead two fitness classes each day pulling from a variety of disciplines to keep your body and mind fresh. Mornings will typically be for higher intensity workouts like HIIT, tabata and cardio, and then evening classes will be more restorative or low impact like yoga, sculpting and barre. All movements have modifications for different fitness levels, and with two experienced coaches by your side, there will be plenty of personalized attention! Adventure We are excited to offer three unique activities as part of the group itinerary. Should you choose to join, we will be zip lining through tree canopies, white water rafting through the jungle and surfing the waves in our ocean backyard! Together, we will reconnect to what's important and come back to reality as better, more centered versions of ourselves. Relaxation Relaxation is a number one priority, and we want each guest to walk away from our retreat feeling refreshed and rejuvenated (as well as strong mentally and physically!). We will have plenty of scheduled free time, but if you want to skip a daily excursion and enjoy a spa treatment or tanning by the pool, go for it! This is your vacation and you make the decisions that suit your heart and soul. |

Sunday, February 10:
Welcome to Costa Rica! Guests will arrive at SJO airport and take a group shuttle to the Encantada Ocean Cottages with a quick stop at the crocodile bridge (bring your camera!). After getting settled, we'll meet for a casual orientation and Layne will lead a yoga-influenced workout with an intention-setting meditation to kick things off. In the evening, we'll regroup for our first dinner together and get a good night's sleep to prepare for the week ahead. Monday, February 11: Wake up to an invigorating morning barre class with Aurora to get your blood pumping and heart beating. We'll follow with fresh and healthy breakfast prepared by our own in-house chef. In the mid morning, we'll depart for a zip lining excursion to see Costa Rica while soaring through tree canopies, and then we'll return in time for a fresh lunch and afternoon to soak up the sun. In the evening, we'll have a Yoga for Badasses class with Layne and a group dinner steps from the beach. Tuesday, February 12: Today is a mostly free day to enjoy the Costa Rican sun! We will wake up to a tabata workout with Layne and a fresh breakfast. Then we'll split into smaller groups for personalized surf lessons - for all levels! The rest of the day is yours to relax at the pool, take part in an extra excursion like horseback riding or a monkey mangrove tour, or head into the nearby town of Jaco to shop and explore. For those who stay at the hotel, lunch will be served as usual. In the evening, Aurora will lead a barre class and then we'll all sit down for dinner and reflection. Wednesday, February 13: This morning we will depart early for a white water rafting adventure! Enjoy the thrill of riding through rapids with the comfort of qualified guides by your side. We'll be back in time for lunch and a free afternoon at the hotel or wherever you choose to go. This evening's workout will be a barre class with Aurora. After class, we will come together for sunset viewing and dinner. Thursday, February 14: On our final full day together, we will have free time to soak the sun, finish reading a book or do anything else that was on our minds. We will start and end with workouts as usual (a cardio class with Layne in the AM and a barre class with Aurora in the PM), but the day is totally free - enjoy! In the evening, we'll have our final group dinner and then a special bonfire on the beach to celebrate our week together. Friday, February 15: Wake up to a light morning stretch/class with Layne and farewell breakfast, and then depart in a group shuttle for the SJO airport to head home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! *Itinerary subject to change |
Layne Bruner, founder of Wellthy Soul is a long time dancer and fitness enthusiast, dancing all over the Nation. In 2013, after losing much of her past identity to motherhood, Layne decided to rediscover her love of movement, teaching and fitness. Nutrition and self-care quickly became a priority after realizing that she was a better version of herself while treating her body with respect and kindness. After training and multiple fitness certifications, today you can find Layne as a Health Coach for women who need nutrition, fitness and healthy lifestyle guidance and accountability.

Aurora Jones is a life-long sports and wellness enthusiast. She began teaching group exercise 20 years ago while attending Colorado State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology.
Aurora is extensively trained in Anatomy, Kinesiology and specialized in Wellness Program Management. Aurora owns a barre3 studio in Austin Texas and fell in love with the practice because of its approach to whole body health and the way it transformed her body after having three children. An avid runner, Aurora also loves Pilates and has a personal yearning for knowledge in nutrition and fuel for the human body. Aurora is incredibly passionate about motivating others to become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves. |
