Join Coach Katie of Holbert's Garage Fitness on a four-day adventure to Puerto Rico! Holbert's Garage all about getting your body moving, feeling the beat, and having fun. The more fun you have, the more motivated you will be. And this retreat is ALL about having fun in a new and beautiful environment with amazing, like-minded people. Come for the fun and enjoy the fitness, camaraderie, dining, and relaxation!

Fitness:
This all-levels fitness retreat will include a variety of classes ranging from HIIT to strength training utilizing bodyweight and portable equipment like resistance bands. Whether you're newer to training or have been working with Katie for a long time, you will learn something new and challenge your body in safe ways while enjoying a supportive and encouraging environment.

Adventure:
One of the natural wonders of Puerto Rico is El Yunque, the tropical rainforest on the northeastern part of the island. As a group, we'll enjoy a hike through the rainforest, stopping at hidden gems like waterfalls and swimming holes along the way. On another day, we'll enjoy a sunset sail around the landmarks of Old San Juan while learning about the history and enjoying cocktails before docking and heading to a group dinner in town.

Relaxation:
Each day will balance both activities with free time to relax, reflect, or explore on your own or with the group. Our resort is right on the beach and has several pools, so free time is yours to cherish! Some other ideas to consider are getting a massage, signing up for an extra activity, or exploring Old San Juan.

  • The balance is due at least 90 days prior to the retreat. If you sign up within 90 days of the retreat, you must pay in full.

Meet Coach Katie Holbert of Holbert's Garage Fitness

Fitness should be fun. My entire life, I have tried to make it fun by dancing, smiling, and making people laugh! I loved sports and being active growing up, but my real love for the science behind movement and nutrition didn't come until after my first daughter was born.  

I'm a wife, mother of two amazing girls, animal lover, and entrepreneur! I work well under pressure or chaos, ha whatever you want to call it! I love to travel, eat great food, motivate others, spend time with family and friends and adventures!

As a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor for 10 years through IFA, I worked in a gym for seven years, and I had an opportunity to take my business online and to my garage. Holbert's Garage Fitness has been an absolute dream come true! I run three online programs and have a full roster of personal training clients. I am so excited to add retreats to my portfolio!

The Accommodations

Itinerary

Thursday, June 8:
Welcome to Puerto Rico! Guests will arrive at the San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) airport and make their way to the resort. We'll check in and then meet for introductions and a welcome workout followed by dinner at a delicious restaurant!


Friday, June 9: 
Today we will wake up to an invigorating workout, and then we'll make our way to El Yunque rainforest for a hike and a refreshing swim by a waterfall! You'll enjoy nature, listen to coqui frogs chirping and get to know a very special part of the island. The rest of the afternoon will be free to enjoy the resort's beachfront access or hang by the pool. We'll come together for a second class and then enjoy a free night to go explore, dance at Brava nightclub, or stay low key at the hotel. 

Saturday, June 10: 
Our morning HIIT workout will start the day. Then we'll have free time to soak up the sunshine or sign up for an extra activity like water sports or a massage. In the late afternoon we'll enjoy a second workout and then get ready and depart for a sunset sail around Old San Juan with beautiful views notable landmarks and the sun going down. Dinner will be included as a group tonight.

Sunday, June 11: 
After our final workout and breakfast, we'll have some free time to soak up the sun and say our goodbye’s before departing for the airport... til next time!
