Ireland Adventure Retreat

What happens when you combine the greenest of green landscape, the bluest of blue sky and the __ of __ whiskey? You get Ireland, in a nutshell. We’re hopping over the Atlantic for a very special off-the-beaten-path adventure! Join us for a Ketanga retreat full of hiking, getting to know locals, visiting quaint towns and beautiful natural wonders, and practicing yoga.

To add to the truly unique program, we won’t be staying in a typical hotel, but at a private family’s ranch-turned-guesthouse exclusively for our group! The mom will be our private chef, and the son will be our VIP tour guide! Join us for this intimate experience that you can’t find anywhere else.

Fitness
Britney's approach to yoga is a power / vinyasa flow that incorporates elements from her dance and gymnastics background to keep things fresh and exciting each day. In her class, you can expect a fun, dynamic flow using muscles you didn't know existed. Plus, Britney will be leading a special handstand / inversion workshop one day to help you take your personal practice to the next level.

Retreat Itinerary

Friday, June 12
Welcome to Ireland! Guests will be picked up from the Shannon airport and taken to our cozy accommodations to check in and get settled. Once everyone arrives, we'll meet for introductions and some light refreshments before heading out on our first hike, an easy walk along a dramatic and beautiful cliff scape. We'll pause at the top of the cliff for our first yoga class as we take in the surroundings and build up an appetite. Back at the house, our first home-cooked dinner and comfy beds will be waiting for us.

Saturday, June 13
This morning we will wake up refreshed and ready for the day. We'll start with an invigorating yoga class and a freshly-prepared breakfast. Then we'll depart for a hike along ___ with a packed lunch. In the afternoon, we'll stretch out from the hike with a second yoga class, and then we'll have free time to relax for the rest of the afternoon. In the evening, we'll visit a local village for dinner and a pub crawl to get a real taste of the community and culture.

Sunday, June 14
Our morning will begin with a yoga class and fresh breakfast, and then we'll head out for another beautiful hike. This time, we'll enjoy a walk to the stunning Cliffs of Moher, one of the most popular sites in all of Ireland. We will end at a pub to listen to typical Irish music and enjoy some time to relax. The rest of the day will be free and then we'll enjoy a group dinner at the house.

Monday, June 15
Today is a FREE day without a hike. We will enjoy our morning yoga practice with an extra inversion workshop where everyone will be encouraged to try a headstand, handstand and/or other challenging movement with individualized support. Then, after a delicious breakfast, we'll have the option to stay in and reflect and hang out, or sign up for an additional excursion like horseback riding, visiting an ancient monastic settlement by boat or exploring the caves in The Burren. The group will vote earlier in the retreat so we can coordinate these activities for anyone who is interested (additional fee). Group dinner together.

Tuesday, June 16
Our grand finale hike today is the most intensive of the retreat! We'll start early and take a packed lunch for the trail which is full of beautiful landscapes and challenging terrain. We'll stop for celebratory drink at the pub after we reach the top of the mountain, and then we'll be back for dinner and drinks for our final night together. (If you would prefer to stay back from this hike, that is no problem at all!).

Wednesday, June 17
On our final morning together, we will enjoy a final yoga practice, reflecting on our week together. We'll have a final brunch and depart for the airport to go back home or wherever your journey takes you next!
