Mallorca Wellness Retreat

The Mediterranean sea awaits you! Increase your 'vitamin sea' to restore your body, mind and spirit in beautiful Mallorca, Spain. We'll focus on increasing your strength, stamina, stability, and flexibility during our classes, and when we're not working out, you can expect good company, good food and wine, breathtaking views, and the overall trip of a lifetime.

Fitness:
This retreat is a nurturing blend of Vinyasa flow yoga, energizing Pilates, and calming meditation. We will begin our days practicing a 75-minute flow by the pool followed by a 15-minute meditation. In the late afternoons, we'll enjoy uplifting Pilates mat classes that will tone our abdominals, legs and booty! We will wrap up the class with another 15-minute restorative, mindful meditation where we will learn practical meditation techniques that will support us in starting our own practice or complement an existing one.

Adventure:
There are so many incredible things to see and do in Mallorca, and on our retreat, we have some exciting activities lined up including a hike through the mountains with a picnic lunch and a 'Vinyasa & vino' yoga class and wine tasting at a local bodega (winery)!

Relaxation:
Just as important as the classes and activities is our down time to relax! At our hotel, we can enjoy the private pool or walk into the local town. Plus, since Mallorca is a small island, it is an easy taxi ride to visit different beaches and towns.

The Accommodations

Can Cota is a boutique hotel in the upper part of Selva, Mallorca. Built at the end of the 19th century, the hotel was originally the family residence of the Sastre Font sisters, known as the “Cotas”. These women played an important role in promoting the folk culture of Mallorca. In 1997, the house was acquired by the architect Andreu Munar, who renovated it extensively but kept the original layout of the building. 

The commanding location of Can Cota allows all the rooms to face south and have spectacular views over the island of Mallorca and the Bay of Alcudia. More recent refurbishments have adapted the hotel to modern times. It has a swimming pool, wine cellar and indoor squash court. The architect’s family still owns and runs the hotel today, sharing the charm of this great house and its surroundings. Can Cota Boutique Hotel is a family hotel that offers comfort and modernity whilst preserving its history.

Meet Coach Cathy Trenary

Cathy grew up playing tennis and found Pilates to be a perfect conditioning program off the court. After noticing her low back pain disappear from increased core strength, Cathy quickly became hooked. She completed her 600 comprehensive training through Power Pilates.

Apart from her Pilates addiction, Cathy also had an on again off again relationship with her yoga practice throughout her teen and college years. She would hit her mat in stressful times to find calm and restore perspective. Throughout her practice she began to realize her inner guidance strengthening which helped her make important life decisions off her mat. Her hope is that she can offer the same opportunity to the students she teaches.

Saturday, June 1
  • Welcome to Mallorca! Guests will arrive in the early afternoon, check in and get settled at the
    hotel, and meet the group for introductions.
  • We’ll meet for a Sage and Crystal Welcome Ceremony where we'll focus on clearing out the old and welcoming the new. We'll also set and write personal intentions for the trip.
  • We'll continue getting to know one another at dinner in the local town (included).

Sunday, June 2
  • Wake to an early morning yoga class and breakfast.
  • We'll depart for a moderate hike as a group!
  • During the hike we will stop for a mindful meditation and a picnic lunch while overlooking gorgeous views of the island.
  • Back at the hotel, we'll have a late afternoon Pilates class.
  • Free night to explore the town and get dinner.

Monday, June 3
  • This morning we'll wake up for meditation and Pilates
  • After breakfast the day is free! Relax at the hotel or take a ride to Palma to explore the city as the day is yours. Today is the perfect time to check out an extra excursion you may be thinking about!
  • In the afternoon we'll come together for a Vegan Cooking Workshop and yoga class.
  • Dinner will be included at a nearby restaurant.

Tuesday, June 4
  • We're just over the halfway mark of the retreat, so today we'll have our morning meditation and yoga, and then ease into a Happiness Workshop after breakfast.
  • Then with happiness on the mind, we'll have a free day - with the suggestion to visit the beach! With some of the most stunning beaches in the world, Mallorca is full of natural beauty and places to have an impromptu fitness class with toes in the sand!
  • Tonight is our second free night, and guests may choose to visit a restaurant in the beach town or back near the hotel.

Wednesday, June 5
  • On our last full day in Mallorca, we will wake for a meaningful meditation and Pilates class, and then enjoy a day to relax and reflect.
  • In the afternoon, we will visit a Mallorcan bodega, or winery, where we'll enjoy some 'Vinyasa & vino' (a yoga class followed by a guided wine tasting!).
  • In the evening, we'll have our final group dinner (included) at a favorite local restaurant.

Thursday, June 6
  • This morning will kick off with a meditation and yoga class to get our bodies and minds ready for the travel day ahead and the transition back home. We will review the intentions we set on the first day and carry them forward as we go home.
  • We'll have breakfast, pack up and say our goodbyes!
