March 27 -31, 2020  |  Park City, UT

Pilates & Ski Retreat

Skiing and Pilates are the ultimate physical and mental complements, and we will be doing both on this adventurous retreat in Park City, UT! Hosted by Coach Brooke Goodwin of Reforming Foundations (RF), we will work out and stretch out, ski down one of the country's most beloved mountains, relax at our luxurious hotel spa, and hang out with a group of like-minded people. Join us for a very special winter wonderland getaway!

Fitness
Mat Pilates is designed to bring your mind and body in harmony and feel each movement as it directly works a focused group of muscles. In this beautiful snow-filled surrounding, your daily mat Pilates class will reform, rejuvenate and refresh your whole body and mind. Plus, Coach Brooke will be sure to tailor the sessions to help your body prep and recover from the days on the mountain.

We'll be pretty active on this retreat with skiing, so taking some time to relax is a no brainer. The resort has a full-service spa, and on our free day, you may choose to indulge in a pampering treatment (for an additional fee). There are also relaxing saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools to soak out the soreness and warm up after a day in the snow.

Itinerary

Friday, March 27
Welcome to Utah! Guests will arrive at the Salt Lake City (SLC) airport and take their own transportation (Uber/Lyft suggested) to the resort at their convenience to check in and get settled. We'll come together in the late afternoon for introductions and our first class to move our bodies after a day of travel. In the evening, we'll have a group dinner at the hotel (included) and continue to get to know one another.

Saturday, March 28
Wake up to snow-capped mountains! We'll have an invigorating morning Pilates class and then enjoy a fresh, delicious breakfast breakfast. Then we'll pack on the layers and take a provided shuttle to Park City for our first day on the slopes! Lift ticket is included but rentals or lessons are additional. In the late afternoon, we'll come together for a soak in the spa's whirlpool and then enjoy a free night.

Sunday, March 29
Today we will wake up to a Pilates class which will stretch out our sore muscles from yesterday's ski day and get our bodies ready for another! After breakfast, we'll make our way back to the mountain for some more skiing, and perhaps the group will meet for Après Ski cocktails before heading back to the hotel. Free night.

Monday, March 30
We will have a morning workout followed by breakfast and departures. Then, you can choose to purchase another lift ticket at Park City, check out Deer Valley Resort for skiing nearby (complimentary hotel shuttle!) or sign up for an exciting activity like snowmobiling, snowshoeing or dog sledding! If you have had enough adventure already, stay back and relax at the beautiful resort, enjoy the spa, and possibly indulge in a spa treatment to pamper yourself. Tonight's dinner will be included at a local restaurant.

Tuesday, March 31
Goodbyes are bittersweet! We'll kick off our final morning with a workout and breakfast, and then we'll ski again or simply depart for the airport (depending on your flight) feeling refreshed and stronger than ever!

Meet Coach Brooke Goodwin

Brooke Goodwin began practicing Pilates in 2009 as a gentle, safe way for her husband Aaron to rebuild his strength and vital energy after finishing cancer treatment for Lymphoma. After seeing its benefits first hand, Brooke fell in love with Pilates and opened the Reforming Foundations Studio in Berkley, MI!

As the owner and head coach, Brooke's Pilates instruction is exquisitely tailored to every person from the fit professional to the aging generation. Loving a challenge, she is thoroughly trained for Pilates athletic conditioning and sports rehabilitation. Brooke is extremely detail oriented and loves to teach about the human body in each session.

Passionate about sharing her knowledge, Brooke is excited to host another retreat with Ketanga to bring her expertise, knowledge and vigor overseas where guests will focus on rejuvenating their bodies and celebrating life!

Testimonials

"My wife and I joined Brooke’s retreat to Costa Rica in 2018 and found it to be a great mix of fitness, exploration, vacation, and socializing. The daily Pilates classes and activities were rejuvenating and challenging but still permitted  time to explore the surrounding area, enjoy some down time, partake in some great food and drink and local culture, all while making some great new friends!! We had a blast!!" - John & Annette

"Brooke is the best and great to work with! She's patient and focuses in on your strengths and strengthens your weaknesses. She is very committed to your success and health and makes it fun while you are working hard. Do yourself a favor and go see her! You will be hooked and will love it!" -
Emily
