Steve & Gilad's European ​Wellness Week

Steve of Speedball Fitness & Gilad of Bodies in Motion are teaming up once again to provide a week of adventure, top-level programming, and relaxation... this time in Mallorca, Spain!

On this trip, Steve and Gilad will lead workouts suitable for all levels of fitness, with special 'challenge' workouts for the advanced and ambitious every day. Combine this top-level training with amazing scenery, activities and delicious healthy food and we can guarantee you a vacation that you will remember for the rest of your life.

​The fitness:
Each day, Steve and Gilad will offer 3-5 classes ranging from low-impact to high-intensity. You are welcome to join in on any or all of them. There will be a mobility/core class and a non-physical workshop or seminar most days as well. The goal will be to provide you with the practical knowledge to take home with you. Read class descriptions here. 

​The retreat:
You will learn to live 'well' by developing mind and body awareness and learning to disconnect from your everyday routine by genuinely connecting to the group. This trip is about more than just working out. It is about the team activities like hiking and biking, fun on the beach and a night out in the town of Palma. You will be enjoying the healthy and delicious local cuisine with like-minded new friends.

Meet the Coaches

STEVE FEINBERG
​

With over 20 years of industry experience, Steve is well known for the implementation of group fitness/wellness programs across premier facilities, universities, and community associations. He is also a highly regarded group fitness instructor and strength and conditioning coach in New York City, working with world amateur and professional champion athletes.

Steve created the Speedball Fitness class format, a cardiovascular and muscular endurance class – incorporating a medicine ball as a resistance tool – with a focus on multidirectional movement and core stabilization. Through Steve's training program, Speedball is now being taught by over a thousand teachers around the world. 

Steve has run summer camp fitness programs for young adults, private events for companies like Pinterest, Venmo, Reebok, and the NYC Marathon, and he is a lead instructor for Cycle For Survival and Camp Moriah's Fresh Air Fund. Gilad is one of the world’s most popular fitness personalities. Over the last 30 years he has helped millions get fit with his TV programs ‘Bodies in Motion’ and ‘Total Body Sculpt with Gilad’ and with his gold and platinum instructional home videos.

First debuting in 1983, Bodies In Motion is the world’s longest running fitness show and is the winner of Cable Guide’s People’s Choice Award for ‘Best Health and Fitness Program’. Self Magazine chose Bodies in Motion as the #1 TV Fitness Program in the world. The show has aired in more than 80 countries world-wide on ESPN, Fox Sports, Discovery Fit & Health, Eurosport, DePortiva and others. In a viewer’s poll conducted by Discovery Fit & Health Gilad won the title of ‘Television’s Fitness Instructor of the Year’.

Gilad was inducted into Israel’s Sports Hall of Fame in 1991 for his accomplishments as a track and field athlete. He was inducted into the US National Fitness Hall of Fame in 2007 for his contributions to the health and fitness industry and for his television shows. Sample itinerary

Sunday, August 13: 
  • Welcome to Mallorca! We'll arrive at the Palma De Mallorca airport (PMI) and take taxis to meet at the hotel. After settling in, we'll kick off with a casual welcome meeting in a beautiful setting and jump into our first workout. We'll have dinner and a short workshop to set intentions for the week and get to know each other.

Monday, August 14: 
  • After a good night's sleep, the first full day of activities will begin with an early morning high-intensity workout on the hotel grounds, Speedball FIT HIT, followed by a nutritious breakfast. In the late morning, we'll focus on mobility with a low-impact class, Taming the Dragon part 1, followed by lunch in the town of Campos and free time to explore the area. In the afternoon, you will have the option to relax at the pool and/or take part in up to two more classes of moderate intensity, Fit2Fight and Ultimate Body Sculpt. We'll have dinner and an evening workshop​: Gut check: how our body handles stress and duress.

Tuesday, August 15: 
  • This morning's moderate-intensity workout, Cuts and Curves, will be followed by breakfast at the hotel and a guided biking trip to see more of the island while experiencing a different kind of workout. We'll stop by a local cafe for lunch on the way back. In the late afternoon, we'll slow things down with a sunset Form and Function class, and in the evening we'll have dinner and a wellness workshop​: Macros 101.

Wednesday, August 16: 
  • Wake up feeling energized for a high-intensity workout, Shadow-Do, followed by breakfast and free time to relax and soak up the sun. Later in the morning, we'll have a core focused class, Lord of the Abs followed by lunch at the hotel and down time to show off those sculpted abs at the pool or take an optional trip to the beach, Es Trenc. The afternoon classes will be moderate intensity such as Aqua Fu (in the pool!) and Ultimate Body Sculpt. We'll regroup for dinner and to hang out.
 
Thursday, August 17:
  • Wake up to a moderate-intensity Speedball class followed by breakfast. Then we'll depart for a hiking trek on beautiful trails and stop in town for lunch. In the late afternoon, we'll slow things down with a mobility class, Smart Body. In the evening, we'll enjoy dinner and a wellness workshop: Mind & Body Awareness.

Friday, August 18: 
  • Early morning high-intensity Speedball FIT HIT followed by breakfast and time to digest and reflect. In the late morning, we'll enjoy a lower-impact class, Taming the Dragon part 2, and then have lunch. We'll focus on moderate-intensity classes with specific focuses this afternoon such as He-mugs-me-not and Cuts and Curves. After a day of working out, we'll enjoy group dinner and time to hang out.

Saturday, August 19: 
  • This morning, we'll have the option to take a moderate-intensity workout, Ultimate Body Sculpt, before by breakfast. Then the day is yours to relax at Es Trenc beach, go stand-up paddle boarding, or take a trip to the Palma Old Town to explore, shop, and see a different beach. Lunch is on your own to experience local flavor! In the late afternoon we'll have an optional low-impact class, Speedball Core, and then anyone who stayed by the hotel will head to Palma for group dinner and free time to enjoy the nightlife.

Sunday, August 20:
  • We'll wake to our final breakfast and then depart for the airport throughout the morning to head back home refreshed and renewed!

The Accommodations

On our Mallorcan adventure, we will be staying at Es Revellar Art Resort, a rustic hotel and former barn in the Campos region of the island. Each room has an individual design and unique artistic touch, and most rooms accommodate up to 3 people. The hotel has a beautiful pool and a "Garden Kitchen" restaurant where the chef uses only the freshest ingredients. This beautiful oasis is walking distance to the village of Campos and cycling distance from Es Trenc, one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Mallorca.
