Strength and Serenity Retreat

Been longing to go on a trip that will be a break from the grind and uplift your sprits but won't keep you away for too long? This summer we'll take you on an outdoor adventure with two experienced, motivating, and friendly coaches, Yvette Lenhart and Sheryl Oleksak, who specialize in Pilates & Yoga respectively.

From daily strengthening workouts and calming yoga practices to local hikes and swimming holes, to daily fresh meals from an in-house chef, this retreat will leave you focused, relaxed, and feeling amazing!

The fitness:
Throughout the long weekend, Yvette and Sheryl will offer a variety of morning and evening classes. Yvette will focus on traditional Pilates Mat work with some standing low-impact cardio, strength, and conditioning mixed in. And Sheryl will focus on the connection of the mind to the body with stretch and breath through powerful and energizing Vinyasa Flows. In the evenings, Sheryl will lead the group in Yoga Nidra: a guided meditation to deep relaxation.

The retreat:

Lake George is the perfect setting for this laid back weekend getaway only a few hours north of NYC. We'll be staying at a cozy house near the Adirondacks with a private chef, outdoor activities, and plenty of time to disconnect and rejuvenate. The vibe of the trip is friendly and casual, and will leave you feeling focused, rewarded, and relaxed.

COACH YVETTE LENHART
Yvette's path to becoming a fitness professional was ignited when she was introduced to Pilates. She found it amazing that Pilates could provide strengthening and conditioning yet also leave you feeling centered and relaxed.

Yvette's goal is to help clients first understand their bodies, then discover what they are capable of in efficient, powerful, and varied full-body workouts. Named by RateYourBurn.com as one of NYC's Most Popular Instructors in 2014 and 2015, Yvette's students always know to expect an inclusive and inspired atmosphere where they will work hard, be surprised, and have fun!

COACH SHERYL OLEKSAK, E-RYT 500
​After recognizing unhealthy relationships with eating and exercise in her early 20s, Sheryl decided to take control of her mind and body. She took a step back, changed her diet and mindset, and turned to yoga.

Through her yoga practice, Sheryl was able to challenge her mind while relaxing it at the same time, and she started to have new feelings of strength, ease, accomplishment, open heartedness, harmony, and balance.

Sheryl now shares her love for harmony and balance through yoga and music in different yoga studios and wellness facilities in NY and beyond.

The Accommodations

The Brampton is cozy, private house near Lake George and the Adirondack Mountains with access to almost any fun summer activity you can imagine. There's kayaking, tubing, hiking, golf, swimming, boating, water skiing, and more! Not to mention a fire pit, outdoor grill, hot tub, and plenty of room inside for lounging after a great days of workouts and activities. The lodge has 6 unique bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, plus a dining room and a kitchen, where a private chef will make fresh meals daily. In addition to the main lodge, there is a luxury glamping tent, a converted van bedroom, and two private cabins. No two rooms are alike and most include shared bathrooms. See here for a full description of the unique accommodations. ​

As a beginner in Pilates, I tried many other instructors and settled upon only taking Yvette Lenhart’s classes. My body resonates after her full body sessions as my weak areas improve; my core, spine and hips are invigorated. Sample itinerary

Day 1: 
  • Take provided shuttles upstate from NYC
  • Arrive at the house early afternoon, get settled
  • Late afternoon buti yoga session followed by a traditional yoga practice to stretch and revitalize after traveling
  • Group dinner prepared by a private chef
  • Welcome bonfire (with wine & s'mores)!

Day 2: 
  • AM Pilates Mat session combined with strength and conditioning
  • Group breakfast and relaxation time
  • Afternoon hike in the Adirondacks
  • Late afternoon Vinyasa flow and Yoga Nidra before dinner
  • Group dinner and free time

Day 3: 
  • AM Pilates Mat session combined with strength and conditioning
  • Spend the day enjoying the water activities like swimming, tubing, or even waterskiing
  • Lunch on a private island on Lake George
  • Come back to the lodge for a late afternoon power yoga session followed by Yoga Nidra
  • Group dinner & farewell bonfire

Day 4: 
  • AM Pilates & yoga combo session to prep for the day of travel
  • Group breakfast and pack up
  • Head back to NYC in the private group shuttles
