SUN, FUN & FITNESS RETREAT

with Beth Roberts in Costa Rica  |  March 6-10, 2019

Sun, Fun & Fitness Retreat

Jumpstart a healthy, fit and happy summer on this 5-day Costa Rican getaway! We'll work out our bodies and minds as we try exciting activities like zip lining, taste local cuisine, relax on a sunset cruise, and work out with Coach Beth Roberts! Join us for the right balance of fitness, adventure and relaxation!

Fitness:
Each day, we will have two workouts led by Beth. Morning classes will be boot camp style targeting the whole body (all levels welcome!). Afternoon / early evening classes will be more restorative with emphasis on core work and stretching.

Adventure:
Each day of the retreat will present an opportunity for adventure ranging from trying a new food to going on an excursion with the group. Two activities that are part of the experience (but totally optional) are a sunset sailing cruise on an open-bar catamaran (with homemade lunch, snorkeling and whale watching!) and a zip lining excursion!

Relaxation:
In between activities and workouts will be plenty of free time to relax, reflect, or go explore on your own or with others. Our resort is right on the beach and has beautiful pools so free time is yours to cherish! Other ideas are to get a massage, sign up for an extra excursion like horseback riding on the beach, or explore the surrounding town.

The Accommodations

Our home for the retreat is the iconic Tamarindo Diria resort, located in the heart of Tamarindo, a coastal town known for surfing, sunsets, and low-key beach vibes. The stunning property has a boutique-y vibe with lush grounds, 4-star accommodations, and a friendly, welcoming staff. There are three pools, including two with swim-up bars, a tennis court, and massage services. Plus, being right on the beach means you'll waste no time between a fresh and delicious breakfast and soaking up the morning sunshine. The best part? While the property is relaxing and peaceful, you are steps away from a safe local town with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to explore - the perfect vacation balance with something for everyone!

Wednesday, March 6:
Welcome to Costa Rica! Guests will arrive at the Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) airport and take a provided shuttle to our resort, the Tamarindo Diria. We'll check in and then meet for introductions and a welcome stretch at sunset. Tonight's included dinner will be at a beach restaurant in town!

Thursday, March 7:
This morning we will kick off our 8AM Beach Boot Camp routine followed by a nourishing breakfast overlooking the ocean waves. After some time to change or walk the beach, we'll depart for a zip lining adventure through tree canopies (GoPros welcome!). After a free afternoon, we'll meet at 4PM for a restorative stretch and continue into a free night with a suggested trip to the Thursday Night Market!

Friday, March 8:
Beach Boot Camp + breakfast. Today is a FREE day to explore the surrounding town of Tamarindo, go on an adventure to another beach, or sign up for an additional activity like a massage, horseback riding or surfing. In the afternoon, we'll come together for a Butts + Gutts class with a restorative stretch and a night to try another delicious local restaurant and optional salsa dancing!

Saturday, March 9:
Beach Boot Camp + breakfast. We've got a few hours to relax or visit the local farmer's market and then we'll head down the beach to meet our catamaran for an afternoon sail! We'll ride out into the ocean, hopefully catching a glimpse of some whales or dolphins, and then we'll have time to jump in the water for snorkeling and swimming. We'll have lunch provided on the boat + open bar, and we will come back as the sun sets for a perfect view of the magic! No workout tonight, and dinner will be included at a delicious restaurant.

Sunday, March 10:
Beach Boot Camp + breakfast. This morning we will have time for a final dip in the ocean, jog along the beach or stroll through town before departing for the airport with a healthy glow and a big smile!
