Thrive & ReviveJoin us for a week of physical and mental regeneration in the beautiful Yucatan Peninsula! Experience strength & conditioning, Yoga, and trigger point therapy classes on the pristine beaches of Tulum, Mexico, and explore ancient Mayan ruins, underwater caves, local cuisine, and everything this unique beach town has to offer.
Our mission for this trip is for each attendee to leave feeling refreshed, reenergized, and inspired! The fitness: Our daily workouts will focus on mobility, stability, and increased functionality of the joints and muscles. Morning sessions will challenge your strength and endurance through high intensity bodyweight training. Evening trigger point and mobility classes will teach you to eliminate common aches and pains while retraining muscles to perform pain-free movements. Also, a special guest will lead occasional Kundalini yoga classes (often called the 'yoga of awareness' blending dynamic movement with held postures, breath techniques, meditation, and mantras). Together these classes will improve physical performance both in the gym and in daily life. The retreat: Indulge in the relaxing and rejuvenating Tulum air while staying at the exclusive adults-only all-inclusive resort in the area. With expansive land to walk around, relax by the pool, meditate, and hang with new friends, every day will bring something new and exciting. As a group, we will experience local activities like snorkeling or visiting a cenote, and we will enjoy delicious and fresh local cuisine at the resort and in town. This is truly an opportunity to cleanse your mind, enjoy some 'me' time, and push yourself to new limits! |

Meet Coach Chelsea AguiarRaised in Santa Fe, NM, Chelsea's love for physicality and athleticism began at the National Dance Institute of New Mexico where she studied Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Modern dance for 13 years. Before graduating high school, she performed on stages across the U.S. including City Center in New York and the White House.
She attended college at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as a contemporary dance major until a reconstructive hip surgery in 2009. 9 months later, she found herself 30lbs overweight, out of shape, and unhappy. In 2010 she began training at a kettlebell studio (Dynamic Fitness, Santa Fe, NM) and a new passion was found. Through "hardstyle" kettlebell training Chelsea became stronger and healthier than she'd ever been. Upon moving to NYC in 2011 she began working at Equinox, where she spent 3 years as a top producing personal trainer. In February of 2014 she left Equinox to found Athaya Fitness. Her experience with dance, Pilates, yoga, kettlebells, Olympic weightlifting, injury rehabilitation, and bodybuilding has inspired her to develop a unique method of training that works for all levels of fitness and is applicable to any goal.
