Tone Up in Tulum

We're heading to Tulum this February for 5 days of adventure, high intensity workouts, and some well-deserved fun in the sun. With Coach Brittany Ignas leading the charge, you're going to sweat, strength train, and as she likes to say... work, work, work, work, work! 

The fitness:
Your morning workouts will be higher intensity to get your heart racing, combined with elements of barre, Pilates, and toning to get your body ready for all of the day's adventures. The evening workouts will be power vinyasa mixed with core work so you can earn those margaritas!

The retreat:
Each day will have workouts and a different local activity to make the most of your time in this amazing place.  Brittany will lead us through both high and low intensity workouts, and in between we will snorkel, swim with the turtles, bike around town, and eat delicious, local food.

Accommodations 

We'll be staying at the enchanting Kore Tulum Retreat & Spa Resort, a beautiful waterfront property featuring elegant and spacious suites. All suites are equipped with a private jacuzzi and beautiful views of the hotel's gardens or the Mexican Caribbean Sea. The trip package includes all food and drinks at the property's restaurants and bars. On the spacious resort property is a state-of-the-art spa, relaxing pool, and a billiard room for games, drinks, and fun. Plus, the adults-only property means an extra peaceful getaway! Upgrades are available upon request.

Meet Coach Brittany Ignas

Brittany Ignas is a fitness professional in New York City, teaching at multiple boutique studios including Circuit of Change, SLT, Barre3 and CYC Fitness. She has a strong background in anatomy after graduating from Indiana University with her B.S. in Kinesiology and concentrations in Contemporary Dance and Fitness.

She is certified in the individual methods she teaches as well as having her 200 hour yoga certification and Stott Pilates Certification. She loves bringing a mindful experience to every workout she provides, and she motivates you to push yourself to achieve your goals. She is excited to lead her first retreat in Tulum where you will find a great balance of sweating, breathing and having fun in the beauty of Mexico.

Sample itinerary

Friday 2/24: 
  • Arrive at Cancun airport in the early afternoon
  • Group shuttle to Tulum (1.5 hours South)
  • Settle into the hotel and explore the grounds
  • 6:00PM - Group meet & greet in the lobby bar area and then head over to a spot overlooking the ocean for the first workout
  • 8:00PM - Group dinner at hotel

Saturday 2/25: 
  • 8:00AM - Morning combo HIIT & Pilates workout
  • 9:15AM - Group breakfast at hotel and then free time
  • 12:00PM - Grab hotel bikes and bike to the Tulum ruins
  • 2:00PM - Group lunch at local restaurant after biking (included)
  • 5:30PM - Second workout - yoga and recovery
  • 7:00/8:00PM - Dinner at hotel
  • Optional evening activity e.g. drinks at a local bar

Sunday 2/26: 
  • 8:00AM - 45-minute morning workout + breakfast
  • 10:00AM - Meet in lobby for snorkeling & cenotes tour
  • Free time
  • 4:00PM - Afternoon barre, toning, & yoga workout
  • 7:00PM - Dinner at hotel
  • 9:00PM - Optional: drinks and salsa dancing at local bar

Monday 2/27: 
  • 8:00AM - Morning combo HIIT & barre workout
  • Free time all day! Beach time, optional activities, massages (not included)
  • 7:00PM - Group dinner at hotel
  • 9:00PM - Optional evening activities

Tuesday 2/28: 
  • 8:00AM - Morning toning workout plus deep stretching to get you ready for your day of travel
  • Breakfast & prepare for afternoon departures
