Yoga & Adventure Retreat: TuscanyKnown for incredible landscapes, fine wine and rich culture, Tuscany is Italy's beloved central region - and the home of our next Yoga & Adventure retreat! This October, join Coach Britney Byfield on the Italian countryside for six days of practicing yoga in the Chianti hills, tasting the region's best wine and dining on authentic Tuscan cuisine. Between planned activities, motivating classes and plenty of relaxing free time, this balanced retreat is judgement-free and open to all levels!
Yoga: Throughout our time together, Britney will lead 1-2 daily yoga classes, typically first thing in the morning and again as the sun begins to set. Her approach to yoga is teaching a fun and dynamic power / vinyasa flow. She incorporates elements from her dance and gymnastics background to keep things fresh and exciting, while appealing to all levels of yogi. Plus, Britney will be leading a special handstand / inversion workshop one day to help you take your personal practice to the next level! Adventure: Each day of the retreat will present an opportunity to try something new and authentically Italian! In addition to our included breakfast and three fresh, local dinners, we will have one lunch included that we make ourselves! An expert chef will guide is through a preparing Tuscan menu in our own cooking class. On another day, we'll visit the hotel's private winery for a tasting while we learn about the region's famed vino. On yet another day, we will depart on a guided hike to explore the region by foot. And during free time, feel free to sign up for additional excursions like horseback riding or biking through vineyards. Relaxation: We are staying at one of the most picturesque properties in Tuscany, perfect for poolside relaxation or sipping a glass of wine while watching the sun go down. There will be free time every day to do your own thing, whether that is signing up for an extra excursion, visiting a neighboring vineyard, or reading a book by the olive groves. Plus, massage services are available (extra cost) if you're looking to treat yourself! |

Wednesday, October 16:
Welcome to Italy! Guests will arrive in Florence by a recommended time and take a 40-minute train to the Tuscan town of Figline Valdarno where we will be picked up by the hotel. We'll check into our rooms, explore the magnificent property, and come together for introductions and our first yoga practice to stretch out after a day of traveling. After some time to relax and shower, we will meet for our welcome dinner (included) designed by the hotel's private chef. Thursday, October 17: Buongiorno! Wake up to views of the Chianti hills and the scent of fresh cappuccinos. We'll have a morning vinyasa practice and then enjoy breakfast under the Tuscan sun. Today we will go on a hike through the vineyards and olive groves and then enjoy the rest of the day to relax by the infinity pools. As sunset rolls around, we'll come together for a second, more restorative practice and then have a free night to dine at the hotel or venture into a neighboring town. Friday, October 18: This morning we will start with our invigorating yoga class and breakfast, and then enjoy a free morning and early afternoon. Guests are welcome to lounge around the hotel, go biking, explore a nearby town, or treat yourself to a relaxing massage (additional cost). In the afternoon, we'll visit our resort's vineyard for a private tour and tasting, followed by a delicious dinner (included). Saturday, October 19: Wake up to a morning flow and breakfast, and then we'll enjoy a free morning. We'll meet for a private cooking class, where we'll learn from an expert chef and then enjoy the fruits of our labor for lunch! The rest of the afternoon is free until we meet for our yoga practice and then enjoy our second free night for dinner. Sunday, October 20: On our final full day of the retreat, we'll wake up to a yoga class - a special inversion and handstand workshop - and our picturesque breakfast. Then the day is free (horseback riding through the vineyard, anyone?)! Other options include biking, visiting the nearby designer outlets, exploring more local vineyards, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet of the hotel's sprawling property. We'll come together in the afternoon for a second yoga class and then our final group dinner at the hotel (included). Monday, October 21: This morning's early yoga practice will be dependent on guests' departure times, but we will plan to have a light flow followed by breakfast and goodbyes. A shuttle will be provided town where we will catch a train back to Florence or to wherever your travels are taking you next! |
