Fitness, Function, & Food - 4/10/16

Achieve a healthy "Spring Reset" with this workout, stretch session, and healthy recipe tasting!

Bringing together the core elements of wellness, we heard from experts in fitness, movement, and nutrition on how to achieve a healthy "Spring Reset" this season.

  • FITNESS: Jaz Graham from Pace for Success (and upcoming "Shed and Shred" fitness retreat) kicked off the event with a total body HIIT class to jump start our Sunday. This class used TRX, kettlebells, battle ropes body weight and much more to blast fat, build lean muscle and gain endurance.
  • FUNCTION: Experts from Finish Line Physical Therapy led a post-workout mobility session highlighting simple techniques and tips like the most effective way to use the foam roller and a few three-dimensional dynamic stretches -- all tools to improve mobility and flexibility, and ultimately enhance recovery.
  • FOOD: You want to kick ass during your workouts, and one way to do that is by eating optimally before and after you get your sweat on. We got inside tips--and samples!--from Health magazine food editor and health coach Beth Lipton.
