This month, the Ketanga Krawl was lucky to fall on the nicest day of the year so far - sunny and beautiful. The Ketanga Krawl is a fitness crawl where we visit three different studios to take three different types of classes - all in a row! The classes are 30-minutes each and meant to introduce fitness enthusiasts to different types of fun and effective workouts in the neighborhood. See below for a recap and photos from the event! We kicked off the festivities with a special class hosted by Jay Lippa, coach of the upcoming "Functional Fitness Fusion" retreat in Mexico! He took us through a cardio boxing boot camp in a space we rented at Complete Body on 19th street. After class, we enjoyed the sunshine as we walked over to 14th street for our next two classes (in the same building!). At Flex Studios, half the class opted for a barre class with Lanae, while the other half enjoyed a killer Pilates class with Angela! Both classes were extremely tough and challenging, just how we like it! And finally, we went upstairs to Body Space Fitness for our third and final class, a total body circuit that made use of every square inch of the studio. Andy and Tony took us through six rounds of two different circuits making use of toys like battle ropes, TRX, kettle bells, sand bags, ladders, and our own body weight. After the three completely different workouts, we enjoyed smoothies from our friends at Bodyworks and rejuvenating energy snacks from JackRabbit Sports. Thanks to everyone for coming out and to the studios for hosting us! Another successful fitness get-together in the books! Join us next month (May 31) in NoHo for a running + boxing + yoga Krawl!
