Exploration. Choice. Play. These are the three words Mindy Levine used to describe what her upcoming retreat with Ketanga is going to be like. Practicing yoga outdoors is actually her favorite way to breathe and move without the constraints of a typical four walls. She finds something special about moving in space when there’s more space to actually move. Retreats are different from a typical vacation, Mindy explains, because she comes with a different intention. This is a time for her to explore her sense of being and step away from the fast-paced routine anyone may find themselves in. There are opportunities for questions, silliness, fun music, vulnerability and breakthroughs in her classes that allow people to become more content and at peace with themselves. If the level of difficulty of the workouts on the retreat is something you’re worried about, Mindy is here to put your mind at ease. Her focus is on being present and making choices in the moment that we can honor on and off the mat. The practice should be painless but useful for everyone regardless of yoga experience, and she hopes to challenge people and their bodies as a way to challenge the mind, as well.
Some things Mindy is looking forward to are the beautiful surroundings, the outdoor yoga classes, and the delicious food and wellness workshops – and so are we! Lake George is the perfect destination for our Refresh & Renew Retreat, and it’s the perfect time to take a breather from the packed schedules our daily lives may entail. Treat yourself to a weekend getaway of fun, food, friends, and fitness!
