Healthy Smoothie Series: Blueberry Cinnamon Swirl

This smoothie was inspired by the Barry's Bootcamp post-workout blueberry smoothie. I prefer to use almond butter, and depending on your protein intake for the day, protein is optional. I love this smoothie because it's filling so it can act as a meal replacement, and the cinnamon adds a nice twist.

Calories: ~300 (~450 with protein)

Ingredients: 
  • 1.5 tablespoon natural almond butter
  • 1/2 cup of blueberries
  • 1 small banana
  • 1/3 cup of Almond Milk
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Optional: 1 scoop of vanilla protein
  • Ice

Instructions:
  • Pour 1/3 of a cup of almond milk into blending cup
  • Add in blueberries & banana
  • Scoop in about 1.5 tablespoons of almond butter
  • Sprinkle in cinnamon
  • Optional: Add in vanilla protein
  • Throw in a few ice cubes and fill the blending cup up to a little under the top with cold water
  • Blend and enjoy!

Note, measurements and calories are approximate, and are based on using a 16oz blender cup.
