Healthy Smoothie Series: Green Tea Fruit Smoothie

Need an extra kick in your smoothie? This green tea-infused smoothie is the perfect blend of fruit and energy for those rainy mornings... or any morning!

Green Tea Fruit Smoothie
Calories: ~120 (~270 with protein)

Ingredients: 
  • 1/3 cup of blueberries
  • Small banana
  • Green tea bag
  • Nut milk (I like unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
  • Optional - vanilla protein

Instructions:

For the green tea, you have 2 ways of incorporating the green tea into the smoothie. You can brew the tea in hot water, let it cool down and add in, or (if you have time), you can pour the tea into an ice tray and use green tea ice cubes when blending and/or drinking.

  • Add in about 1/2 cup of nut milk
  • Throw in the blueberries and chopped banana
  • Add in the green tea in whichever form you prefer
  • Add in protein (optional)
  • Blend and enjoy!

Note, measurements and calories are approximate, and are based on using a 16oz blender cup.
