Healthy Smoothie Series: Tropical Smoothie

This smoothie is a great, light way to start off the morning. It is refreshing and crisp with a nice fruity taste.  Add in some protein for an extra boost.

The Tropical Smoothie
Calories: ~300
Note, measurements and calories are approximate, and are based on using a 16oz blender cup.

Ingredients: 
  • Almond or Coconut Milk
  • 3/4 cup of peaches (if out of season, frozen peaches work well)
  • 1 orange or 1/2 cup of orange juice (an orange will make it a bit pulpy)
  • 3/4 of a banana
  • Vanilla protein (I like Aloha)
  • ​Ice

Instructions:
  • Pour 1/3 of a cup of nut milk into blending cup
  • Add in 3/4 of a banana
  • Add about 3/4 cup of peaches
  • Add in orange slices or about half a cup of OJ
  • Add in a scoop of protein
  • Throw in a few ice cubes and fill the blending cup up to a little under the top with cold water
  • Blend and enjoy!
