Who doesn't love chips and guac? It is one of our absolute favorite things to snack on! But it is far more satisfying to eat your own homemade chips, made out of real food! You eliminate all of the processed ingredients and poor quality oils used in processed chips by making them yourself.

Bake these tasty plantains until they are crispy & delicious! No frying necessary!

Read on for a recipe Alyssa Gagarin shared with us on the recent Fitness, Food & Fun retreat in Costa Rica (where plantains are everywhere!)!
Ingredients:
  • Green plantains (plátanos verdes)
  • Coconut oil
  • Salt
  • Baking sheet + parchment paper

Instructions:
  1. Peel plantains using paring knife.
  2. Slice thin on mandoline (or with knife).
  3. Toss in coconut oil & salt.
  4. Spread out on parchment lined baking sheet (try not to let them touch).
  5. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes, flip over, and bake for another 3-5 minutes.
