I am pretty lucky that trying out new gyms and studios is literally part of my job. I can be in a different gym every day of the week! But one studio that keeps me coming back again and again is Work Train Fight. This boxing-based facility in NoHo offers one-on-one training and small group classes, so the highly-personalized environment is felt as soon as you walk through the door. The studio is centered around a boxing ring which anyone can use during personal training sessions (so badass!), but it also has standard training equipment and plenty of bags to practice your punches. What I love about WTF is that the trainers are serious yet goofy and fun. Everyone seems to know each other and joke around, but when it comes time to work, you work hard. Over the summer, WTF went through an expansion so they are able to offer two classes at the same time, while still having plenty of space for individual training sessions. They have re-introduced kickboxing into the class schedule as well as intermediate level boxing sessions so you can work at your level and get the most out of your class. Alberto (founder of Work Train Fight) training a client in the boxing ring. The instruction is amazing whether you are training one-on-one or taking a class, and lately I've been loving Eric and Katelyn's classes. While each instructor has their own style, you can always expect an hour of high intensity plyometrics, bag work, and focus mitts - my favorite - that will leave you sweating, exhausted, and totally exhilarated. WTF has a great intro offer now that includes 3 classes, free boxing gloves, and a pair of hand wraps for just $47! Check them out - you won't be disappointed!
