Adventure:
There are so many incredible things to see and do in Costa Rica, and on our retreat, we will have two excursions included (though optional) to enjoy the country by land and by sea. We will go on an exhilarating zip lining adventure on one day, and on another we will go sailing on a memorable ride with snorkeling and a possible whale sightings!

Relaxation:
We will enjoy workouts and activities throughout the retreat, but just as important is our down time to relax! At our resort, we can sit by the pool, swim in the ocean, and lay out in the sun. There are also complimentary bikes and kayaks as well as SUP rentals available to you. And of course, the gorgeous spa is at your fingertips!

Itinerary

Day 1 - Thursday, November 11
Guests will arrive at the Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) airport and take a provided shuttle to the resort to check in and get settled. We'll meet together for introductions and a decompression session to de-load and get our bodies moving post-travel. In the evening, we'll have a group dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 - Friday, November 12
We'll have a morning Mobility/Bodyweight Session, followed by breakfast at the hotel, and then we'll head off to our first (half-day) adventure: zip lining through the tree canopies. We'll get picked up from the hotel, and then zip down the mountains for amazing views and a thrilling experience. After the excursion, we'll go back to the hotel to enjoy free time in the afternoon and then we'll come together for a decompression session. After that, the night is free for you to do as you please.

Day 3 - Saturday, November 13
We will start the day by building strong foundations, using crawling patterns and bodyweight techniques, followed by breakfast at the resort, and then we'll have a free day to relax at the beach or pool, treat yourself to a spa treatment, or sign up for an extra excursion like surfing or paddle boarding! In the evening, we'll meet once again for our decompression session to unwind for another free night to do as you please.

Day 4 - Sunday, November 14
This morning we'll start with learning how to combine our movements into chain movement patterns ('flow'), followed by breakfast, and a few hours to relax at the resort. We will then be picked up for our afternoon on a catamaran, with lunch, drinks, and snorkelling included. Once we return, we'll come together for our final group dinner!

Day 5 - Monday, November 15
We'll kick off our final morning with an early mobility/bodyweight session to get you moving before the flight. We'll have breakfast, and chill by the beach/pool, before departing for the airport and heading home.

Jay Rose has an undeniable passion for Functional and Unconventional Training. Jay regularly incorporates kettlebells, steel mace, battle ropes and primal movement patterns as well quadrupedal locomotion into his training  and also practices the amazing Martial Art known as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Jay is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of individuals by sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for a more functional way of training which focuses on longevity, whilst encouraging a happier and balanced lifestyle through movement, nutrition and mindset.

Jay not only shows the positive effects exercise has on your own physical and psychological well-being everyday, but can also provide you with an appreciation for what our bodies and minds can achieve. This, in turn will put you on the path to achieve your person fitness aspirations.

Steph Rose comes from a very athletic background. From a young age, she was competing in Cross-Country Running, Swimming, Track Sprints, and Martial Arts. In 2016 Steph graduated from The College of Naturopathic Medicine, in London as a certified Nutritional Therapist. Equipped with the knowledge she gained from this course Steph was able to optimise her lifestyle and support her training as well as those around her.

Now, Steph loves to include a whole range of different movement styles to help create her own practice. Some of which include, Pilates, Animal Locomotion, Jiu-Jitsu as well as a ton of Mobility/Durability movements and sometimes Yoga. Her favourite tool would have to be the Kettlebell! (Jay passed on his passion to her!) Alongside this, she uses various other Conventional and Unconventional Tools in her daily workouts, such as Battleropes, Steel Mace, Kettlebells, and Steel Clubs.

Steph loves to move, and believes that Movement Prep and Recovery are extreamly important when it comes to Longevity Training. This is why she always takes the time to warm up properly beforehand, and Decompress after her workout.

Testimonials

"Just discovered Phase SiX. Gym and working out has always felt like a math class (never enjoyed math). I've recently started wondering what if fitness looked more like an art class, maybe everything I've been taught is wrong for me. Phase SiX feels more like art than math. I think you are going to change a lot of lives with your philosophy. Thank you!” - Bruce

"Thorough flows, based on knowledge of human body. You find both simple basic exercises and more serious flows. KB! Yes! The king of tools!”
- Iryna

"Rate: Awesome! Like best: I loved the floor flows that all connected. It challenged me in so many ways to move with purpose and remember the movements. I especially enjoyed adding the new element of the mace. I hope the second edition adds more of this! Would Recommend: Yes”
- Chelsey

"Rate: Awesome! Like Best:  The focus on strength & longevity training using kettlebells and my own bodyweight. Would Recommend: Yes!”
- Mike
